When Chef Marie-Claire Dubois left her position at a Michelin-starred Paris restaurant to open Le Petit Jardin in 2018, her friends thought she was crazy. "Toronto? A bistro? In Leslieville?"
But she saw what others didn't: a neighborhood hungry for authentic, unpretentious French cooking. Today, Le Petit Jardin is a beloved fixture in the community—a place where neighbors gather, wine flows freely, and the food tastes like it came from someone's grandmother's kitchen in Lyon.
